    @HanSatan i remember the first time i head quadrophenia. i heard it in its
    entirety, and this song stuck out right away. it’s my favourite next to
    ‘i’m one’.

    @goonersforce The one that is black, white and have Jimmy on a scooter on
    it, is the opera, the original album. The one with Phil Daniels ( Jimmy )
    in an alley is the soundtrack from the film Quadrophenia.

    finest album and story, I saw them at Hyde park doing ‘Quadrophenia’. It

    i recall having two different quadrophenia albums(In the loft somewhere).
    what was the difference except for the artwork??

    It’s Daltrey. It’s safe to assume that the singer is Daltrey on most Who
    songs, except Going Mobile and Whiskey Man, among others.
