Bank recruitment is not an easy task. It takes great efforts by the aspiring candidate to be a part of the banking sector in India. The growing success rate of the Indian banking sector has also increased its demands amongst the youth. It offers a large variety of jobs to its candidates however, two of them are much famous amongst the rest. These two jobs options are for the post of Bank PO and Bank Clerk. It is very difficult for the bank to recruit candidates for these two posts because their work involves taking care of the management of the bank, loan related issues, dealing with the customers etc. In short, they carry out all the vital functions in the bank. Such an important and highly responsible post, along with a huge strength of aspiring candidates make it very difficult for the bank to recruit the best candidates. This has leaded the banking sector to resort to a large scale recruitment programme called the CWE in 2011.
Common written exam in 2011 is a large scale recruitment prorgamme introduced by the Institute of Banking Personnel (IBPS). It would recruit candidates for the two major posts in the banking sector. The officers on these posts need to be highly aware of the general affairs, and should have a sound knowledge of the banking sector and its requirements. While bank clerks are spread in various departments of a bank, the post of a Bank PO is the next position after bank manager. The work involved in these posts is also highly responsible in nature. Bank clerks are needed in every department of the bank and have to deal with confidential information like keep a record of loads, security information etc. They also assist the new customers into opening new bank accounts or closing the previous ones. Their function is extended to every part of the bank. On the other hand, a bank probationary officer also plays a vital role in the smooth functioning of any bank. They supervise and manage all important works in the bank. In such a scenario, the recruiting banks have to pay major focus on recruitment of candidates for these two posts. So while, CWE in 2011 would be a grand opportunity for the aspiring candidates, it would also be a tough exam which would choose the best candidates who would meet the requirements of such a coveted post.
Anybody who wants to become a Bank PO or a Bank Clerk needs to keep it in mind that he/she cannot enter the job without good communication skills, computer literacy and a sound knowledge of the banking sector. Also, one must prepare extra and score well in the CWE of 2011 to get into these posts.
